🏆 Don't kill Your Career Progression.

Most SDRs and AEs get stuck in their roles.
Usually due to a couple of reasons.
The rep doesn’t have a plan in place.
The company isn’t growing. (No roles are being created)
The good thing is that you can address both of those things.
Set up a plan.
The big thing is having a mutual action plan (MAP) to document your journey.
The mutual action plan is a shared roadmap outlining steps and responsibilities for both the rep and manager to achieve a common goal.
I talk about this a lot, but I would say only 10% of reps actually do it.
The Key behind a good MAP plan is to have goals outside of performance.
Performance is always a given.
Could be:
Learn the basics of pipeline management.
Mock demos that are being run.
Landing a hallmark account.
Etc…
I’ve an included a template at the end of this edition.
Company Growth is Stagnant.
This one is a little bit more tough.
There’s a couple of things you can do.
Stick it out, and wait for another rep to leave.
Look for company’s that are growing, and promoting within.
Either way take careful consideration of what makes the most sense in your scenario.
I like looking at all the reps average tenure.
Have they been there longer than the industry average (18mo)?
If so, some might be due to move on.
Either way.
Set a personal deadline to see progress towards a promotion.
If not it might be time to move on.

I switched SDR jobs and it worked out.
Make the best decision you can, and then commit to it.
